After-school clubs in animation & coding

6-week after-school clubs for primary pupils, led by ZuLogic. Children create their own stop-motion films or coding projects.

Stop motion animation club

We run a 6-week after-school Stop Motion Animation Club for primary pupils. The club can run at a single school or be coordinated across multiple schools within a trust.

  • Storyboarding and planning a short film
  • Set design using props, backgrounds & small scenery pieces
  • Character movement and stop-frame animation techniques
  • Adding titles, simple sound and basic editing
  • Finishing a short film to share with families or show in school

All equipment is provided: cameras, stands, props, backgrounds/scenes, plus full access to Cloud Stop Motion during the club.

Clubs are led by David Henley, founder of ZuLogic, creator of Zu3D & Cloud Stop Motion, with over 20 years' experience supporting primary schools and running ICT & creative clubs.

What the school provides: a classroom or ICT space, and access to school laptops/desktops/tablets (laptops or desktops preferred).
Group size: up to around 20 pupils.

Simple pricing

Clubs are priced on a straightforward per-pupil model:

  • £6 per child per session (ex VAT)
  • Minimum total per term: £450
  • Recommended maximum group size: 20 pupils

A typical club runs for one term (approximately 6 sessions). If you'd like to know a bit more about how the club runs, we're very happy to send over some further details.

Coding clubs too

Alongside animation, we can also run coding clubs:

  • Coding with Scratch – ideal for KS1–KS2, creative programming and simple game design.
  • Coding with JavaScript – an accessible KS2 introduction to real-world coding with fun projects.

These can be offered as standalone clubs or rotated term-by-term alongside animation.

Cloud Stop Motion in the classroom

Cloud Stop Motion is our browser-based animation studio designed specifically for schools. There's nothing to install – pupils animate, record sound, add titles and edit their film entirely online.

The club gives children hands-on experience with the same creative tools that can be used in lessons, making it easy to link into Computing, English and cross-curricular projects.
